MANKATO — A Minneapolis-based nonprofit that helps the state’s homeless and food-insecure population has provided funds for an area shelter’s new heating and cooling system.

Partners for Housing is the recipient of a $8,500 grant from Open Your Heart to the Hungry and Homeless.

The new HVAC system will be installed in a common area of a newly created homeless shelter operated by Partners for Housing.
