Permanent Supportive Housing Project -The Poplar Apartments

We are beyond excited to announce we broke ground on our Permanent Supportive Housing Project, Poplar Apartments, today in collaboration with the City of Mankato, Minnesota Government, Blue Earth County, Minnesota – Government, Greater Minnesota Housing Fund , and Trellis Co. This project has been in the works for over four years, and we thank everyone who put in the hours to make this happen! There were lots of moving parts to this project, with dedicated efforts from all of us to finalize everything to get us here today.

We are here today, and everyday, for our community.

The Poplar Apartments were designed to fill a community need, with our communities’ needs in mind, and we can’t wait to continue serving the beautiful human beings facing housing instability in a new way. Once complete, there will be 40 units available with on-site wrap around services including mental health providers. These units will be available to individuals and families experiencing homelessness and/or extensive barriers to housing. These units will be filled on a referral basis using Coordinated Entry, and there will not be an open application.
