At its Thursday, May 20, 2010, meeting, the PAH Board agreed to ‘put on hold’ aggressive pursuit of a building designed to handle Theresa House Emergency Shelter clients now ‘temporarily’ housed in Jose’s Place. This temporary location is a building adjacent to the Welcome Inn.
“To march headlong into a fundraising environment of major community projects made no sense. We’ve taken a look at two properties, received Planning Commission and City Council support for each location, but we’re going to hold off for now to give us time to re-examine how we can best serve clients for the long term. Fresh approaches and ideas will help us in developing a comprehensive capital campaign,” said David Cowan, Board President.
He welcomes any ideas that the public may have. He can be reached by e-mail at email@example.com
